NCAFA 2025 AGM Highlights: Moving Forward, Building Stronger Communities
The 2025 Annual General Meeting showcased the strength, passion, and forward-thinking spirit of the National Capital Amateur Football Association. From celebrating a major surge in digital engagement to addressing future challenges with new policies, attendees collaborated on ways to make the upcoming season our most successful yet.
Key Motions & Discussions:
Bylaw Updates & Territory Review: Members debated proposed changes to ensure fair player movement, highlighted the need to regularly update territorial boundaries, and agreed to formalize a new approach by the Semi-Annual AGM.
Discipline & Safety: A presentation on 2024 discipline trends underscored how NCAFA and the Canadian Community Sport Integrity Commission (CCSIC) are working together to maintain safe, respectful play.
Looking Ahead:
NCAFA’s 70th Anniversary celebrations are in the works, along with continued talks with Kingston Minor Football to explore fresh collaboration opportunities. The next AGM is scheduled for February 28, 2026, and a Planning Session is planned for late March 2025 to address key initiatives.
